Unlike lesser confections of its kind that are avoided each holiday season, this is the classic English fruitcake made with a recipe that dates back to 1890. Available only from Hammacher Schlemmer, it is baked in the heart of England with traditional ingredients such as juicy sultanas, currants, raisins, tangy mixed citrus peel, and glace cherries, this low-alcohol cake retains a whisky flavor that combines with a blend of spices to evoke the tastes provided by the original fruitcakes of the 16th century. With a 45% fruit content and plenty of rich butter, but without nuts. 24-month shelf life. 3" H x 61/2" Diam. (24 oz.)
