Product Story

This is the multitool used by the U.S. military since World War II for forging trails, establishing encampments, and performing utility work. Originally known as "Knife, LC-14-B", the tool was first introduced to servicemen in 1941 as essential equipment for cutting through dense underbrush whether in the temperate forests of Europe or the jungles of the Pacific. The hefty 1074/1075 powder-coated spring steel blade resists corrosion and is individually hand-sharpened by Pennsylvanian craftsmen, providing a slightly concave 10 1/2"-long cutting edge and a 2 1/2" chisel-sharp sickle hook. The Amish-made ash handle's 6 1/2" length, rectangular cross-section, and round-bevel edges provide more torque and help maintain blade alignment when chopping. Finger grooves ensure a secure yet relaxed grip. Urethane coated and beeswax finished. Includes handmade bridle-quality leather sheath with belt loop and wrist strap. 17" L. (1 1/2 lbs.)
