Available only from Hammacher Schlemmer, this is the pair of genuine English fruitcakes—one made with a classic recipe from 1890 and the other made with a spiced recipe that evokes the original fruitcakes from the 16th century. Both cakes are handmade and baked in the heart of England with traditional ingredients such as juicy sultanas, currants, raisins, and tangy mixed citrus peel. The classic fruitcake contains glace cherries while the spiced fruitcake is enhanced with apricots, orange oil, and spices including cinnamon, coriander, ginger, allspice, nutmeg, and cloves. Each cake arrives in a keepsake tin embossed in a Victorian style. 18-month shelf life. Each cake 3" H x 5" Diam. (15 oz.)
